Hope you all enjoy this simple recipe for pot roast !
I used a Hamilton crockpot and crockpot liners from Walmart !
Ingredients
2 lb boneless chuck roast
salt and black pepper, to taste
Vegetable oil
32 oz beef broth
4 tablespoons of red wine vinegar
1/4 cup all purpose flour
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 small bag of tiny red and yellow potatoes
16 baby carrots
4 celery ribs
1 medium sweet onion
2 tablespoons of minced garlic
2 cloves of parsley
2 cloves of thyme
1 tablespoon of cumin
*optional *
Generous amount of slap yo mama
2 teaspoons of paprika
2 teaspoons of seasoning salt
2 teaspoons of crushed peppers
Directions
Season beef with salt and 1 teaspoon black pepper.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add beef and cook until evenly browned, about 5-6 minutes per side.
In a medium bowl, mix together beef broth, wine, flour, tomato paste and Worcestershire.
Place potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, thyme and parsley into a slow cooker. Stir in beef broth mixture, season with salt and pepper and additional seasoning to taste. Top with beef. Cover beef and vegetables with more broth .
Cover and cook on high heat for 4 hours , after 4 hours remove the beef and cut it into fine pieces and put it back into the crockpot and stir it
Let it cook another hour (or until tender ) add any additional seasonings
