Chef Nellie’s Pot Roast
1 Beef Roast
Chef Nellie’s Anytime Seasoning
Sazon
1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil
1 Cup of Onions, chopped
1 Cup of Carrots, chopped
1 Cup of Celery, Chopped
2 Tablespoons of Garlic, minced
1/3 Cup of Red Wine
2 Cups of Beef Broth
1 Tablespoon of Ranch Seasoning
2 Tablespoons of Soy Sauce
1 Tablespoon of Worcestershire
**Gravy
1 Cup of Pot Roast Leftover Broth, strained
1 Tablespoon of Butter
1-2 Tablespoons of Flour
1 Tablespoon of Heavy Cream
Salt and Pepper to taste
**Add pot roast sauce and butter to sauce pot. Slowly whisk in flour then heavy cream. Season gravy and enjoy**
In a skillet on medium-high heat, heat olive oil in pan. Season beef roast with Chef Nellie’s Anytime Seasoning and Sazon. Add pot roast to heated skillet and sear on both sides for 2-3 minutes. Remove the roast from skillet, add more olive oil to pan and sauté celery, carrots and onions for 2 minutes. Add garlic and red wine to pan for 1 minute and set aside. In a crock pot/slow cooker, pour in beef broth, anytime seasoning, ranch seasoning, soy and Worcestershire sauce. Add roast and veggie mixture to slow cooker then cook for 6-8 hours on low heat. Enjoy with gravy and some creamy mashed potatoes.
