Mississippi Pot Roast/ Gravy

Mississippi Pot Roast/ Gravy

Here is my version of Mississippi Pot roast and homemade gravy! You can make this in the crock pot also cook on low for eight hours or high on 4 add potatoes towards the end of the cooking process so they don’t turn to mush! Such an easy meal and wonderful flavor! Here’s the recipe:

2-3 1/2 pound chuck roast or round roast
I packet of ranch or 2 tablespoons of ranch powder
Half packet onion soup mix
1 stick of butter I used salted
2 cans of au jus gravy/ can use beef broth also
Half jar of peppercini and juice
Additional seasonings like pepper, garlic, onion and salt to season your meat before browning it.
1 tablespoon of bacon grease or oil to brown your meat in
Brown your meat on all sides on a Dutch oven or frying pan. Use either instapot, crockpot or Dutch oven. See above and video on how long to cook. Add all above ingredients and cook.

Gravy is simple take two cups of the pot roast liquid make a roux using 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of flour cook
Until brown, add liquid slowly and bring to boil and your gravy is ready. #recipe #blogger #easy #foodie #food #cooking #homemade #easyrecipe #gravy #meat
