trying this in my slow cooker.i used to do roasts in my old slow cooker….asda chickn joint..wicked kitchen turkee joint…they were ok ..wondered how this one would work in this one..potatoes quartered on the top of this this isnt roast chicken n stuffing …have some frozen veg in steam bags to go in the microwave later..abit of an experiment. lets see how it works out.these joints are great done in the oven and in tesco and ocado around a £5er .i love the fact the texture doesnt go wierd on these ..some are just aweful n spongy but this is great when cold and reheats nice too ..

ok ..the verdict..tastes great..doesnt brown on the top as it would in the oven ..but still juicy n tastes lovely ..n the spuds were perfect ..ill def be doin this again..its helped me out doin it this way ..esp as im now 4weeks no cooker ..no oven ..n completely stuck ..i could stick this in the slow cooker n just leave it to get on with it ..n have the little spuds quartered on top ..maybe even afew veggies ..altho the frozen steam bags are a great idea n saves stressing ..made a great meal n ive still some left to do something with for tomorrow ..a perfect way to do potatoes too as no hob ..n all one pan.an idea now for future reference.. saves me energy ..doing roasts drain me out..the slow cooker works well for me.need to get an airfryer now..
